HKU Engineering offers a dynamic undergraduate experience designed to help students discover what they love, think boldly, and create real impact. Structured Curriculum: Build a strong foundation
Our structured curriculum equips you with a solid foundation in engineering knowledge while allowing you to gain real-world practical experience through active learning, internships, and capstone projects.
Active Learning: Tackle challenges and innovate for the world
Two active learning courses help students build practical skills, work in teams, and tackle real-world engineering challenges. Through prototyping activities and hands-on projects, students learn by doing, explore ideas, test solutions, and develop the confidence to solve future engineering problems.
AI-ready Engineer: Harness AI for realworld engineering solutions
We recognise the importance of AI and are embracing it in order to ensure that we can leverage its power and potential for good. It is compulsory for all our students to take two AI literacy courses, and optional to enroll in AI courses for their respective disciplines.
Innovative Culture & Ecosystem: Thrive in a creative community
To empower our students to become talents and leaders in a fast changing world, we established the Innovation Wing as an accelerator and the Innovation Academy as the fuel.
